Each 3rd and 4th grade class has 7 or 8 classes in other locations around our country and world that they need to send a postcard to. The first step of this exchange, which we started this week in the library, is the fact finding and postcard creating step. Some students have been assigned the job of designing and creating postcards that represent either our school, our town, or our state. Others are responsible for finding the facts that we will be writing on our postcards. To keep the facts consistent among the participating schools, each class must provide the answers to ten specific questions on their postcards.
In a few weeks, we will be mailing our postcards out to our buddy classes! In return, we will be getting postcards back from schools all over the country as well as the world. Once we receive our postcards, we can use the information to learn more about the places our buddy classes are from!
